Thank you for your interest in Triumph Fine Cabinetry and Millwork Inc.  Allow me, Steve Ferguson to give you a brief history of my company and myself.

I was born and have lived most of my life here in Los Angeles.  From a very early age I showed a gift for mechanics and building. I was fortunate to be able to take many of the shop classes in my junior high and high school years and was always experimenting and building things in my free time.  After finishing college (CSUN) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, I found a job in a British-only motorcycle shop.  There I restored and repaired some very unique and classic motorcycles and fed my passion for Triumphs in particular.  A few years later I took a job building houses and loved it having a thirst to learn all the trades.  In 1986 I received my contractors license as a general and shortly thereafter changed the name of my company to Triumph Construction.

In 1993 I teamed up with another contractor and formed Triumph Construction Inc., myself handling mostly the field operations.  We built and remodeled a lot of middle and upscale houses around the city.   I found that I was using all of the skills I had been honing all those years and could solve any problem that was thrown at me.  The work was always hectic and the hours long but I thrived in that environment.

In 2002 after a string of unprofessional cabinet subcontractors, we decided to set up our own cabinet division which I oversaw along with managing the other company projects and personnel.  We mostly built cabinets for our own jobs but as time went on began doing more "outside" work.  Unfortunately I finally grew tired of the stress of being a G.C. and liking the challenge of cabinetry decided to focus on only that. I became the sole owner of Triumph Fine Cabinetry and Millwork in late 2006 and soon incorporated.

From the beginning of my contracting career, I always believed that I could break out of the stigma that contractors had made for themselves and build a company that people would be glad they chose.  I have met that goal.

Being a recovering perfection-oholic, I set my standards of quality and service to where I feel they should be and insist on achieving them in every project.  I chose my employees based on their ability to build to that level of quality and equally on their honesty and other personality traits.  I encourage my employees' creativeness and ingenuity and we work at bringing out the special features of every project.  I think you will be able to see that in this website .
